Union Special comes from Andrew and Jess Ullom in Raleigh, NC. Using roller-milled and stone-ground flours produced solely in North Carolina - alongside corn and other grains grown in the South - Union Special focuses on hand made bread leavened with natural cultures alongside a line of croissants and other pastries using fresh and local ingredients. Union Special is slated to open in early summer 2019.

Mordecai Beverage Co. will be Raleigh’s first combined brewery, taproom, and bottle shop by owner Andrew Christenbury. The brewery will use a two-barrel system to create small batch brews and will collaborate with other brewers across the state. The taproom will offer Mordecai’s own beer on tap, along with craft beer from a variety of local and regional brewers. The bottle shop will offer a variety of craft beers to take home. Mordecai Beverage Co. is expected to open in early summer 2019.
